For more information call the church office at 612.926.7651 </object> Mon, 29 Sep 2008 14:57:00 EDT Ashes Into Light Remembrance, reconciliation, hope.  These are the central themes of Ah Nagasaki: Ashes into Light, a new musical meditation on one of the defining events of the 20th century:  the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. A collaboration between composer/author Robert Kyr and writer Kazuaki Tanahashi, the work is the culmination of "Ashes Into Light," the Minnesota chorale's 2008-09 Bridges community engagement program.  An unprecedented consortium of seven Twin Cities arts organizations and two choirs from Japan will be present this program at 7:30 pm on Saturday, october 11, at The O'shaughnessy at The College of St. Catherine, 2004 Randolph Avenue, St.Paul.  The program is part of the Ordway Center's 2008-09 planet Ordway(R) Target(R) Season. The "Hooray for Hollywood" event benefits students by raising funds for talent development grants and other school programs. The event includes dinner, entertainment, dancing, and silent and live auctions.
