The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Tuesday into Tuesday evening for Hennepin and Ramsey Counties and a Heat Advisory Tuesday and Tuesday evening for the rest of the Twin Cities along with west central and south central Minnesota. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and hot in the Twin Cities with a forecast high of 95. The heat index values could reach 101. There's a 30 percent chance of rain late Tuesday afternoon and a 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms Tuesday night with a low of 70. Wednesday will see a 40 percent chance of showers with a high near 85.
