As a music-loving child, Denny Long would haul his phono-graph onto the front steps of his family's house in Northeast Minneapolis and play records. He became an avid record collector, a passion that served him well later when he became music director of WCCO-AM and FM in 1971.

Eric Nelson WCCO Radio Weekend Sports Host Eric Nelson is a sports junkie who gets his fix in arenas or stadiums. Eric is a Twin Cities-based reporter for Sporting News Radio and writes a column for Minnesota Score Magazine. Eric has covered 10 Super Bowls and was a sportscaster at WCCO-TV from 1995 to 2000. Eric has also written a book, "Slices of the NFL".
Esme Murphy Esme Murphy, a reporter and Sunday morning anchor for WCCO-TV, has been a member of the WCCO-TV staff sinceDecember 1990.She is also a weekend talk show host on WCCO Radio. Born and raised in New York City, Esme ventured into reporting after graduating from Harvard University.
She has won numerous awards during her career, including Associated Press First Place Awards for non-spot news reporting, feature reporting and investigative reporting.
