41 8th Graders from Robbinsdale Inside Holocaust Museum During Shooting
WCCO Radio News has confirmed that 41 middle school students from Robbinsdale were in the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC today during the shooting involving an apparent white supremacist and a security guard. The 41 8th graders and four chaperones were not injured, nor did they see or hear the shooting. Shelly Phernetton, one of the chaperones, tells WCCO Radio News that everyone remained calm. She says they continued with their activities in Washington after they were evacuated from the museum. The students are from the three middle schools in Robbinsdale.
Robbinsdale Public Schools Communications Director Jeff Dehler was live on WCCO Radio News to confirm students were in the museum at time of shooting
