Fishing Report for 8.13 Lake Minnetonka is once again producing good largemouth bass fishing but now there is a deep water bite going on with active fish being found in 30 to 40 feet of water off main lake points and drops. Carolina Rigs with 6 inch plastics or live leeches are catching bass and the occasional walleye. Fish are showing a preference for structure located in big water bays versus shallow back bays. Fishing Report for 8.6 Locke Lake just north of the City of Maple Lake has been producing some nice smallmouth bass and walleyes during daytime hours when the wind has been a factor.  Shallow running crankbaits either trolled or casted in the 7 to 11 foot range are taking numbers of fish.  Best fishing on days with wind exceeding 20 MPH.
