Broadcast Journalist Jeff McKinney has brought great experience to the WCCO Newsroom. He has received numerous national awards, including from the Los Angeles Press Club and Northwest Broadcasters Association. McKinney was born in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia and grew up in Houston. He attended Vanderbilt University and received a BA in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jeff started his CBS broadcasting career in 1983, and has been employed at WCCO Radio since 1994. Jeff has also become a big part of the Don Shelby Show, where you hear "The McSkinney with Jeff Mckinney." No topic is taboo for the McSkinney.
To show his dedication, he currently commutes between Minneapolis and St. Louis each weekend, where his wife and two boys reside.
