Woman Hit and Killed By Train in St. Paul

A woman is dead after she was hit by a train this afternoon in St. Paul. Police say the 26-year old woman was walking eastbound on the tracks near Johnson Parkway and Case Avenue around 4:30 this afternoon when a train approached. Police spokesman Pete Panos says the train was not travelling very fast, and had sounded it's horn,  so he says there would have been time to get off the tracks. The investigation into the woman's death is continuing. Her name has not been released.
