Twin Cities Businessman In China: Feels Quake Aftershocks

Paul Ridgeway, Junior of the Twin Cities is in Beijing, China and even though he's about a thousand miles from the epicenter of a massive earthquake he has felt after-shocks.   Speaking with WCCO Radio News from Beijing Ridgeway said, as a midwesterner, this was his first experience even with an after-shock of a quake.   He was at a business meeting on the 5th floor of a hotel in Beijing when he felt the building sway.  He said it was like being on a boat.   Reports say at least 10 thousand people have died but the death toll is expected to rise.   China's worst earthquake was in 1976 when as many as 300 thousand people died.
