More eligible voters are registered to cast ballots in Minnesota than ever before. Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says about 84 percent of eligible voters are registered to vote and he expects that figure to approach 90 percent by election day.

He says it shows Minnesotans have faith in the system.

For the next couple of weeks, Ritchie will be blitzing college campuses across the state to encourage college students to turn out at the polls on election day.
