Float Plane Crashes while Landing in Otter Tail County

No serious injuries reported after a plane carrying three people crashed on an Ottertail County lake this morning. The floatplane was apparently attempting to land on Lake Lizzie around 10:30 when the aircraft flipped. Mike McFeely of Fargo station KFGO was fishing on the lake at the time and witnessed the crash. He talked with the pilot afterwards.  McFeely says the pilot, 52-year-old Richard Springer of Fargo, appeared to be OK with a small cut on his head. His wife, and another girl on board also escaped serious injury. The accident is now under investigation by the FAA.
