Both the defense and prosecution rested their cases Friday. Wayzata businessman , Tom Petters, if on trial for allegedly operating a 3.65 billion dollar fraud scheme. In Friday testimony Petters placed the blame on Deanna Coleman who was an executive with the Petters Company. Petters said Coleman set him up to be responsible for a fraud she (Coleman) could not handle. There were 16 days of testimony from 54 witnesses. If convicted on all charges Petters could get life in prison. After closing arguments Monday the jury will get the case in federal court in St. Paul.
